Need A Boat !

Geez, it has rained here for about 9 or 10 days straight, and I mean it has poured,  all the farmers cant get the hay cut and crops in the ground, planting a garden is out until things dry up a bit, but don,t think we are having it as bad as alot of the country, but it sure is nasty and wet. Roads closed, schools closed, just nasty !

Well prepping for the finishing class tomorrow, there will be alot of spraying going on, that’s what the classes all seem to want, so we , sometime back, ask everyone who is attending the classes, to get a copy of A to Z as well  as “it’s all about the color “, so in the class we can focus on anything they don’t understand and be able to really focus on application and getting the finish they want, and we will even send the DVD’s for those who need them prior to the class, and they simply return them when they come to the class, so with that said, if your taking a finishing class, be sure to either get the DVD’s or let us know .We have found those who have been thru the DVD’s , are far ahead of those who have not, so from now on its required, it just makes the class be capable of expanding and improving on the actual applications.

We only have 1 other finishing class scheduled for the year, may do some in the fall, but we have not decided, as of this time.

Well I have been cross eyed and exhausted, for several days, I have been working on using a router , and various guides and a 1/16 router bit to do all these small “Bell Flowers” , it has taken a bit of time to get them patterned out, but we are looking good, so now we can router cut them , as well as cut the matching veneer, the inlay kits that are out these, with the 1/4 guide and then an additional 1/8 sleeve is added to be able to do inlays, doesn’t work, in  these very small  flowers, The 1/8 bit is a bit big to give the small details, but if they were just a bit bigger it would, while  its been challenging , I now have patterns and the set up, so I can inlay them , pretty fast, and very accurate, how I like it, but I could have done them all by hand , for the time I invested  in perfecting the patterns, but I liked the challenge ,and now its done, !

Well got to get ready for class, so best get to work, y’all be safe

I’m working through my second run through the A-Z DVD set. A TON of great information in the set. I’m much more confident when making finishing decisions. Hopefully next year I’ll be able to take a finishing class.
