A Tale of Two Shops

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It was a time of new adventures, it was a time of heavy equipment. It was a time of new beginnings, it was a time of “Dang, I ain’t seen that in 10 years!”

Sorry, was getting wrapped up in it…

CameraGirl here – Charles asked me to touch base via the blog regarding the move. It’s been a very crazy 10 days here. He hasn’t stopped since the keys were handed over, and has probably made 50 trips to haul equipment and wood from the old shop to the new one. Today the helpers we have are still working to empty the upstairs (his wood hoard in my opinion) and with classes beginning next week and a trip to Maryland this weekend, he’s attempting to turn his focus to actually setting up some of the equipment and preparing for all of that. He hasn’t sat down long enough to look at the dozens of emails that come in seeking help. Charles does ask that I let you all know that he will get to them as soon as he possibly can, but it could be next week. My youngest is actually playing hooky today to be an extra set of muscles to try and wrap up this move.

I’m not sure how the show is going to come together this week, but we will have at least something for you. I know we all wish we could clone Charles so he could do a bit more every day, but just hang in there guys & gals, great things are coming, once the move is finished.

I’d be there to help if I was 1800 miles closer. Looks like it will all be worth it in the end. Godspeed.

    Clone Charles?
    Uh Oh! Double trouble…

Sounds like Charles has been in a “Dickens” of a mess of work . . . And still is. So, what’s new?

Can’t wait to see the new faculty when I come down for the Keeping Chest Class the 24th-26th, will have my Master Electricians License with me and tools just in case the 3 phase equipment is running backwards and if Charles gets his diodes and dadoes mixed up.
