Got back from wood shopping, that was fun. Got some nice material, Walnut, Cherry, Poplar, Mahogany, White pine (wide), for backs in some of these period projects.
So now I am set with all the material I need in-house for client projects. Also got some extra of that wide white pine and Poplar for some “rustic/primitive” projects for the show.
I get a lot of questions about my personal taste and preference in furniture. It might surprise you to know that what were going to be doing is one of my favorites. So stay tuned. By the way if you think that I won’t build something out of cherry, Walnut, Maple and take a hand plane to it and “rough it up” a bit, hee hee just watch.
Well it’s Christmas Eve morning, and it’s snowing. Works for me, as long as it’s not to required shoveling depth. A white Christmas will be nice.
So I think about noon I’m headed out,go home, kick back in the recliner and check the eyelids for holes. Sounds like a marvelous plan to me.
I just wanted to stop in and wish everybody a blessed Christmas/Holiday, and I pray the best for each of you.
Be safe, catch ya later!
