Checked out the web page. thumbnails wouldn’t expand. Hard to view.

You have to register (free) to get bigger pictures. I only noticed that mention at the bottom after trying to view them larger and thinking, like you, that a picture that small was fairly useless 🙂

Lots of thumbnails. But only window shopping?

gona do that one next?? just kidding

  4. the interesting part and what I hoped you would pick up, was how much attention was paid to those areas that were not seen , The maker of this desk is one of the renowned old masters… but if it wasn’t seen it simply didn’t count .. but then again, consider how laborious this would be totally by hand …

Every time I look at an old piece it boggles my mind to think of the amount of time it took to do what takes us 5 minutes. I made a half set of hollows and rounds and then made 8′ of 4″ crown out of WP. It took me two days to make the crown using a Stanley 45 and the hollow and round planes. That was out of one of the sofest woods than I think of walnut woo. And the fit they got on the parts makes me ashamed sometimes.

Charles, no one said you take the easy way.
